At Ande Charles Slider Bistro, we are passionate about our craft. Whether it’s fried, broiled, braised, sautéed, grilled or steamed, we are obsessed with food; and since 2016, we have worked tirelessly to convert this obsession into one-of-a-kind flavors and a truly unique dining experience.
Our Food: In a city as diverse as Washington, DC, good, authentic flavor is easy to find. As a native Washingtonion, head chef Reggie Anderson took inspiration from many of these cuisines and incorporated a variety of global flavors into his menu. Each dish has been fine-tuned for the perfect, balance, texture, and flavor combination.
Our Culture: At Ande Charles, we treat our customers with the same warmth and care as our family. This same thoughtfulness goes into everything that we do, from the selection of our ingredients to our customer service.
Why Ande Charles: The business is dedicated to my mother Linda Delores Sims, who was my supporter, cheerleader and now my Angel in Heaven. "Ande Charles" derives from a combination of names. Ande from my last name "Anderson" and Charles from my late mentor Mr. Charles, who was very influential early in my culinary career. They encouraged me to test my boundaries and helped me become the chef I am today.
